Designed by a local architect and constructed in 1995 to the owners' specifications, Villa Keona enjoys superb views over Karystos Bay towards the Island of Kea.
Two miles from the traditional fishing port of Karystos, this Greek villa is located on the outskirts of a tiny village called Aetos, which has six tavernas and a small supermarket.
The villa, situated in the village of Aetos on the island of Evia, is south facing overlooking the bay of Karystos out over the Aegean towards the Island of Kea.The well appointed detached property is approached from a quiet lane alongside olive trees. From the car-parking area at ground level steps takes one onto an upper patio level to the entrance to the house. The accommodation consists of a lounge area off which are a double twin bedded room with fitted wardrobes, separate bathroom with bath and shower and the well appointed kitchen. The kitchen has an electric oven with hob, fridge/freezer, washing machine, iron and ironing board.
In the lounge are a bed settee with two bed chairs, a T.V which receives some satellite channels, DVD player and a separate radio and CD player. A spiral staircase leads from the ground floor to an upper lounge which can be used as a third bedroom. This lounge has its own bed settee and bed chair. Again off the lounge is a double bedded room with fitted wardrobes, a separate bathroom with full size bath and separate shower. Both this bedroom and the lounge have their own balconies with outstanding sea views towards Karystos and again over to the Island of Kea.
The Villa has solar water heating with a back up emersion system and is heated (if required) by oil fired central heating. There is a large supply of books, various jigsaws, games and if needing to take cool drinks to the beach cool bags.
From the downstairs bedroom and lounge, doors lead onto a patio covered by a pergola with pan tile roof. Table and chairs are on the patio allowing one to dine outside . Steps from this upper level lead down to two further patios both with sun beds and shaded by trees. One has a built in Barbeque.
There are several fruit trees in the gardens including orange, lemon, apricot, and pomegranate and of course olive trees.
